River’s Edge is located along the banks of the beautiful Wisconsin River and just two miles from the downtown area and all the attractions, including ski hills, snowmobile trails, riding stables and shopping. Most of the units are made of logs, inside and out, just like what Abe Lincoln would have stayed in, with all the modern amenities of course!
All of the housekeeping units are open year ’round and are equipped with cooking and eating utensils to accommodate up to the number of people stated. Each unit (except #14 – #19) has a counter-top range (no ovens – but there are charcoal grills at ALL the units!), coffee pot (coffee & filters needed), refrigerator, microwave, toaster, full bath, shower, t.v. with basic cable, heat and air conditioning and complimentary WiFi. When you check in, the beds are made and there are towels for the maximum capacity of each room, but there is no maid service (no one will come in and make the beds or change the towels). Boat launching is free with unit rental. During the summer season, housekeeping units may be rented on a weekly basis or a minimum of three nights. Check-in time is after 4:00pm, check-out time is before 10:00am (this check-in time is a ‘worse case scenario’ time for the heaviest turn over days). Motel units may be rented on a daily basis (except weekends, there is a two night minimum).
